Botple Education is a student-led project building study tools that don’t ask you for money, an account, or your attention. It started because the apps that already existed wanted all three.
Three tools, and an honest status for each
Nothing here is announced before it works. Two are finished enough to use today; the third is still being built, and says so.
Botple Calc
A scientific calculator where fractions stack, powers sit up, and roots get a box for the index. Answers come back exact rather than as decimals. Installs like an app and works offline.

A reading comprehension tool that asks you to justify your answer rather than pick one of four. Not open to the public yet — there is no sign-up list and no launch date being promised.

Written down here so it is honest about the direction rather than quietly implied by three products sharing a logo. None of these connections exist today, there is no date attached to them, and each tool is built to be worth using entirely on its own — which is the only reason it is safe to say this out loud.

MindSight, in one paragraph
Multiple choice can be beaten by elimination, which means a right answer doesn’t prove you understood the passage. MindSight asks you to say why — you pick an answer and then justify it, and the justification is what gets responded to.
Passages are levelled and classroom-style, questions are generated to match, and your reasoning is what is assessed. It is the one Botple tool that genuinely needs AI, which is why it is the one still being built.
What Botple stands for
Five rules the tools are actually built against, not a values page written afterwards.
The core tools stay free
Not free-for-now, not free-until-you-hit-a-limit. The things these tools were built to do are the things you can do without paying.
No intrusive advertising
No countdown before a result, no full-screen interruption between you and the keypad. There are no adverts at all today, and that is the intent.
Offline wherever it is practical
School wifi is unreliable and mobile data costs money. Calc and Notes both keep working once loaded, because a tool that stops when the signal does isn’t dependable.
Built from being a student, not researching one
Every tool here started as a specific problem someone actually hit in a classroom that week. There is no roadmap set by growth targets, because there is no growth target.
AI only where it earns its place
Used for reading a scanned page or judging a written justification — real problems with no simpler answer. Not sprinkled over a calculator so the page can say the word.
Who is actually behind this
Botple Education is one person: a student in Malaysia, eighteen, building these between classes and paying for it out of his own pocket.
It is not a company. There is no registration, no team, no funding, and no investor waiting to be repaid — which is exactly why nothing here needs to charge you. It also means there is no support department: the tools are maintained by the person who wrote them, and honest status labels do the work that a legal department otherwise would.
If something is broken, telling him is the whole process.
